Idris Elba Will Feature In Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting a major upgrade next year. It will also include an essential addition to the cast: IdrisElba. He was announced as part of the new Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty trailer, which was released at The Game Awards 2022.
According to CD Projekt Red (CDPR), Elba will play a character called Solomon Reed. The tweet also contained some details about Phantom Liberty’s new content. It will take place in an “all-new district” in the game’s Night City setting. And it will be a “spy-thriller expansion.” Keanu Reeves was also in the trailer. He will return to play Johnny Silverhand.
The second trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty premiered at The Game Awards 2022. The DLC, first revealed in September, will see V and Keanu re-joining their roles as Johnny Silverhand while forced to undertake a dangerous mission for the New United States of America.
The trailer shows that V and Johnny will seek the assistance of Solomon Reed, a mysterious agent from the government played by IdrisElba. The trailer reveals that expansion will occur in an area previously unknown as “Dogtown.”
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is due to be released in 2023. It will be available for play on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
Phantom Liberty will not be available for PS4/Xbox One as CD Projekt Red has ended all updates for these platforms. Keanu Reeves and Johnny Silverhand will be featured in the expansion.
Cyberpunk 2077’s launch in December 2020 wasn’t the easiest, but it sold 20 million copies and became one of the most successful RPGs ever.
CD Projekt is working on the next Witcher title, which will be run on Epic’s Unreal Engine 5. It is also working on a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.
